Ages: Adults
Testing Time: 40 to 45 minutes
Administration: Individual
Aphasia Diagnostic Profiles (ADP) is a quick, efficient, and systematic assessment of language and communication impairment associated with aphasia that should be administered individually. The test is appropriate for adults and can be administered in 40 to 45 minutes.
Designed to meet the demands of today’s medical climate, it contains nine brief subtests. Each subtest yields standard scores and percentile ranks. Subtest results are used to create composite scores and a series of five valuable profiles addressing five critical areas of the patient’s performance:
■ Aphasia Classification Profile-identifies aphasia type (based on the Boston classification)
■ Aphasia Severity Profile-indicates specific strengths and weaknesses
■ Alternative Communication Profile-identifies patient’s strongest response modalities and helps guide therapy
■ Error Profiles-identify the communicative value of a patient’s responses
■ Behavioral Profile-indexes the patient’s overall emotional state during testing.
Complete adp Kit includes: Manual, Stimulus Cards/Letter Board, and 25 Record Forms, all in a carrying case. (1992)
