Plenty of cards for each sound and the large size make these cards especially practical. The upbeat, humorous art captivates kids. These card sets were born when commercial artist Erica Avery's son was in articulation therapy. She thought his articulation cards were outdated and boring—and his SLP agreed! Together they set about creating cards with pizzazz to keep his interest.
Each set comes with a manual offering motivating and creative games you can play with just one set of cards—no need to purchase a duplicate set! For example: Each child tries to flick a button or token onto a particular card (saying, “I can hit the ___.”). A child who misses must name the card that was hit (“I missed the ___, but I hit the ___.”). Whoever scores the most “hits” wins.
Set I (200 cards) Here’s an entire set of those pesky, hard-to-remediate sounds: l, r, s, and z.
Set II (240 cards) This intermediate-level set targets mainly fricatives, featuring sh, ch, j, zh, th, k, and g sounds.
Set III (210 cards) Primarily for your younger children, this set contains early-developing sounds, mostly stops: p, b, m, t, d, f, and v.
All sets include 4" x 6" (10 x 15 cm) cards; plastic file box; manual of therapy activities. Sold as 3 Set Combo or Individually.
